Last year in January, Chinese mobile manufacturer, Huawei unveiled its smartphone, the Huawei Ascend P1 during CES. The device was launched in China and Europe in January and June respectively. The device is now launched in the US after a long year delay. It is now available from Amazon for $449.99 and it is carrier unlocked.
The handset is one of the thinnest smartphones in the market. It is running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1080p HD video recording, an 8 MP rear-facing camera with backlight illuminated sensors, a front-facing 1.3MP camera to make 720HD video calls, 1GB of RAM, 4GB ROM, Bluetooth 3.0 HS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 1670mAh battery, MHL-HDMI, DLNA functionality and more. The handset also has Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound System which offers theater quality sound. The Huawei Ascend P1 is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and is one of the fastest models in class, capable of handling 3D games effectively.
Huawei is preparing to debut three new handsets at CES 2013 which will be held in Las Vegas nest week. The devices are Huawei Ascend D2, Huawei Ascend Mate, and Huawei Ascend W1. The first two devices are Android powered devices and last one is Windows Phone 8 powered device.
