[Download] Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Jelly Bean Update Now Hitting North America

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Update

It looks like Samsung has started to deploy the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Tab 2 editions in North America. Samsung has already begun serving up the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Tab 2 10.1 tablets in early December. Finally, the manufacturer feels its right time to release the latest version of the Android OS for the devices in the United States and Canada.

The update is available for both the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablets thorough Over-The-Air (OTA) process. Users can also grab the update using Samsung’s Kies desktop software by connecting the tablet to PC machine. Several users are also reporting seeing the update rolling out Over-the-Air.

The firmware update bumps the Android OS version up to v4.1.1 Jelly Bean, and the new build number will be JRO03C.P5113UECLK7. If you might recall, the Jelly Bean build brings a massive upgrade over Ice Cream Sandwich build, along with Google Now, Project Butter, resizable widgets, performance improvements and many more. The update is currently rolling out in stages. If you want your tablet to taste Jelly Bean OS, you can try to pull the update manually by heading into the Settings, then About Phone, and then System software updates and follow the on-screen instructions.
