This year at CES in Las Vegas, Archos introduced numerous Android tablets for low prices. Yesterday, we reported about the launching of the Archos 97 Platinum, 1.3-inch FamilyPad 2 and GamePad tablets. The manufacturer has also announced the new Titanium line as a part of its its Elements range of tablets – that’s a total of 4 budget priced Jelly bean tablets.
Archos-made 70, 80, 97, and 101 Titanium models are representing 7.0, 8.0, 9.7, and 10.1-inch tablets. We are already familiar with the 97 Titanium HD tablet, which is being referred as “an alternative to the new iPad.”, and it will offer a 9.7-inch 2048×1536 IPS display. Archos 80 Titanium tablet comes with a 8-inch 1024×768 display and it goes after “the iPad mini, for a fraction of the price”, Archos notes that the new Titanium range tablets will come packing in a sleek aluminum design with a High Definition IPS display, a dual-core 1.6GHz processor, a quad-core GPU with 1080p video decoding capability, running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
Coming to the price tags, the Archos 70, 80, 97, and 101 Titanium tablets will retail for $119, $169, $249, and $199 respectively. $249 is great budget price tag for the 97 Titanium HD tablet, which has got a stunning iPadeqsue resolution of 2048 X 1536 pixels. On the other side, Archos FamiPad 2 packs a 13.3-inch 1280×800 pixels display weighs around 4.9 pounds, a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, while the GamePad comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, a quad-core MALI 400 GPU, accompanied by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor and it will hit the U.S. and U.K. markets in February.
Archos has also announced a new set of Platinum tablets – Platinum 97 and Platinum 80, which offer 9.7-inch 2048×1536 IPS screen and an 8-inch 1024×768 display respectively. Both tablets will be backed up by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with unspecified 8-core GPU and cameras on front and back sides. Presumably the SoC is the Rockchip RK3066 given it being a dual core cortex a9 with mali 400 mp4.
