[Rumor] Motorola X Android 5.0 Phone to be announced at Google I/O

Motorola X Phone

In December, last year, we found a report from Wall Street Journal that Google is now working with Motorola to bring a new Motorola phone, Motorola X in 2013. Some reports stated that the device may be a Nexus device. Today, a new report has claimed that the Motorola X phone won’t be a Nexus device. The device is expected to come with a 5-inch edge-to-edge display and nearly bezel-free. It means the device seems to be smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S III. It is further reported that the device will be announced at Google I/O running Google’s future version Android 5.0.0 mobile Operating system, rumored to be called Key Lime Pie.

This Motorola X Phone is not the only device which is expected to be powered by Android 5.0.0. Back in November also, a Sony device bearing model number LT30i (similar to the Sony Xperia T) was spotted online at NenaMark Benchmark running the said future version of Google’s mobile operating system.

You can note that just after Google unveiled its new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version in October, last year, many sources had started claiming that Google will introduce a new mobile OS very soon. In another report, the device will supposedly be heading to multiple carriers unlike before, where Motorola devices were exclusive to Verizon Wireless only.

But take these reports with a grain of salt as there is no official word from Motorola or Google yet.
