Samsung Confirms Galaxy Tab 7.7 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update in Thailand

In a move to debunk the blame on Samsung for missing out Android Jelly bean update for the Galaxy Tab 7.7, Samsung Thailand have confirmed the Android 4.1 update for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800 / GT-P6810). This is truly a good news as we believe that the update will follow other regions soon.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 originally ran Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS which was later upgraded to Android ICS, but the latest firmware update means a whole lot of new features and a much faster tablet. It is worth notable that the tab features a 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 pixels of resolution, powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, boosted by 1GB RAM, equipped with a 3 megapixels rear-facing camera, paired up with a 2 megapixels front-facer to make video calls, 1080p HD video layback, internal storage ranging from 16GB to 64GB, microSD card to hole memory expansion up to 32GB, HSPA+ connectivity with 21Mbps downstream capacity.

The official Firmware update announcement page of Samsung Thailand has confirmed the Jelly bean update for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 along with many other devices. The page also confirms Android 4.1 update for Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and Android 4.1.2 with Multi Window update for Galaxy Note II.

We will bring you more updates in case of the update being released in other regions.
