Samsung Galaxy S III mini available in NFC version by the end of this month

Back in October, Sammy has introduced the Galaxy S III mini handset for the the U.K. and Asian markets, priced at £270 (€320). Later the manufacturer has announced multiple colord editions of the S III mini handset. Samsung has officially announced that a new Samsung Galaxy S III mini handset with a NFC (near-field communication) chip for mobile payments, is expected to be released soon.

The manufacturer says that the NFC edition of the S III mini will be releasing by the end of this month. First wave of the NFC chip installed edition will hit the U.K. territories. The model number of the NFC edition is I8190N, while the original Galaxy S III mini is currently carrying the model number I8190. Samsung will implement its own NFC-based “S-Beam” file sharing capability. S-Beam app provides quick and easy multimedia, bookmark and business card transfers between compatible NFC chip installed devices.

The Galaxy S III mini packs 4-inch Super AMOLED display with WVGA resolution, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 1GHz ST-Ericsson NovaThor dual-core processor, Mali-400 GPU, 1GB RAM, along with a 5MP camera.

The rest of the specs include 8GB of built-in memory, microSD card slot, 3G with 14.4Mbps HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, DLNA and Bluetooth 3.0. The G615 will be available in Black and White and uses old fashioned miniSIMs.

Recently launched Samsung Galaxy S II Plus is also coming in two variants. One version is with NFC chip and one without NFC. If you’re interested, the I8190 N Galaxy S III mini NFC will be available in the United Kingdom Germany starting this month for an undisclosed price tag.
