It was earlier this month when Archos announced its new Titanium series of Android tablets at CES in Las Vegas. The list includes the Archos 70 Titanium, Archos 80 Titanium tablet, Archos 97 Titanium HD, and Archos 101 Titanium. There was no on word from Archos on firm release dates for any of these dates. Today, we’ve a good news is that it did not take too long for the Archos 101 Titanium tablet to knock on the doors of the FCC labs, numerous devices undergone for tests each day in order to make sure those devices are ready for operating across the country.
If you need a refresher on the Archos 101 Titanium’s tech specs and features, it relies on a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with a quad-core FPU, packing a 10.1-inch display with 1280 X 800 pixels of resolution, Wi-Fi b/g/n and a 3.7V Li-ion battery, and it will ship preinstalled with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. On the side, the Archos 97 Titanium HD tablet comes with a 9.7-inch IPS display with 2048×1536 pixels of resolution.
The FCC documents for this tablet were filed by the French consumer electronics company. We still don’t know when exactly is the U.S. launch of the Archos 101 Titanium tablet supposed to happen. We guess “soon” would be a more reasonable timeframe. The manufacturer has already confirmed the tablet will go on sale for $199.
