As expected, Verizon Wireless has exclusively released the Nokia Lumia 822 handset in Red colored edition. The carrier notes on its website the red version is available with 16GB of memory for free with your signature on a two-year contract or else it will retail for $449.99 if you are not willing to sign up for a contract with Verizon. So far, the red Nokia Lumia 822 has been limited strictly to Verizon U.S. only. Note sure about other countries.
Aside from the color change there are no any other differences between red and the older colored editions. It keeps its 4.3 inch 480×800 AMOLED screen, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an 8MP Carl Zeiss camera with dual LED flash, 1.2MP front-facer, 1GB of RAM, 64GB memory expansion support via microSD card slot,1800mAh battery, and it ships with Windows Phone 8 OS. It has also got a set of pre-installed apps including Nokia Drive, Nokia City Lens, Nokia Drive+, Nokia Maps and more.
The carrier has also launched a pink Valentine’s Day edition of the Motorola Droid RAZR M Android phone yesterday. Windows Phone users can also buy the new Samsung Ativ Odyssey for $49, which released yesterday.
