Sony Xperia Z could be available on February 9 in Japan

A week ago, we reported that Sony Mobile will be introducing their smartphone Sony Xperia Z in South East Asia before the end of Q1. Again, Japanese carrier, NTT DoCoMo also announced the Sony Xperia Z smartphone in Japan along with different smartphones including LG Optimus G Pro, Sony Xperia Tablet Z and Huawei Ascend D2. But there is no word regarding the availability of the Sony Xperia Z smatphone. Now, there’s a good news for those people who want to grab the device.

Now the smartphone is rumored to be available in Japan early next month. According to the report, the smartphone will be released on February 9 and working Sony Xperia Z demo units have started to arrive in stores in Japan. It means the release date is near. The picture shown below was caught in the Kichijoji store.

The Sony Xperia Z is powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS with a 5-inch Reality Full HD display, pixel density of 441ppi, a Quad-Core Processor, 2GB of RAM, a rear-facing 13MP Fast Capture camera with Exmor RS, NFC, 2,300mAh battery with STAMINA mode, water/dust resistance and more.

Although we have found the expected date of availability in Japanese market, Sony hasn’t revealed the official price tag of the device yet. However, ahead of unveiling the smartphone at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, it was claimed that it will be priced at 19990 Thai Baht (around $658) and the international price will be around $750.
