Apple Confirms 128GB iPad with Retina Display

Yes, those rumors were true, which cited about Apple raising maximum iPad storage to 128GB. According to some changes in the fifth beta version of the iOS 6.1, we reported about the existence of 128GB iPad models with “ULIMATE” classification. Apple has also released the new iOS 6.1 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices yesterday. Today, they have gone ahead and confirmed the arrival of the 128GB iPad tablet.

Apple will start selling the iPad with 128 built-in storage from February 5th, asking additional $100 more on top of the 64GB model.

The price tags of the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPad Wi-Fi models remain unchanged at $499, $599 and $699 respectively. The company has also confirmed that it will discontinue 16GB model of the iPad tablet. That means, 32GB model will be considered as base model from next month.

iPad 4 comes with 9.7-inch Retina display with 2048-by-1536 resolution and 264 ppi, Apple’s own A6X dual-core processor, 5MP iSight camera on back side with ƒ/2.4 aperture, 1080p HD video recording capability, FaceTime HD camera, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, up to 10 hours of battery life, and ships with iOS 6.1. It’s worth noting that iOS 6.1 brings LTE support for 23 additional carriers offering the iPad tablet. Of course, you will be also able to purchase movie tickets using Siri voice assistance in iOS 6.1.
