Along with the BlackBerry Q10 keyboard phone, RIM’s BlackBerry’s CEO Thorsten Heins has also announced the new BlackBerry Z10, which is the first BlackBerry 10 OS running full touch phone. BlackBerry Z10 features all the same specs, suggested by the previous rumors and leaks.
Z10 will offer BlackBerry 10 OS, which is being referred as a true multitasking system, and it is centered around touch gestures. There will be a 4.2-inch WXGA touchscreen with 1280 X 768 pixels of resolution, and 365ppi pixel density, a dual-core Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm clocked at 1.5GHz, accompanied with 2 gigabytes of RAM. For camera department, RIM has thrown an 8 megapixel camera with TimeShift (Scalado-powered tech) mode, which helps you to record 1080p HD videos, and there’s also 2 megapixel shooter on front side for taking care all of your video chat needs in high-definition.
BlackBerry Z10 will have 16GB of internal storage, and 32GB memory expandable support via SD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC W-Fi a/b/g/n, microUSB and microHDMI ports, an advanced touchscreen keyboard, and has access to 17,000 applications on BlackBerry World (including the most popular Skype, Angry Birds, WhatsApp, Where’s My Water, Amazon Kindle, SoundHound, Rdio and many more.) And of course, it has 4G LTE connectivity, which is one of the main selling points.
Blackberry Z10 will be offered first in the U.K. (as soon as tomorrow on major carriers), followed by Canada, and the U.S. The device will on sale in Canada from February 5th for $149 with 3-year contract, and users from the United States, will be able to grab it from AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint in mid March, priced at $199.99 on contract.
