HTC M7 Could Be Named as “HTC One”

A new rumor about the upcoming HTC M7 has surfaced again today, this time with possible official branding name. Many of you guys might have heard that HTC is all set to launch its next 10800p Android phone, known as M7 at its London/NYC event on February 19th, where they are also expected to launch a couple of other Androids called M4 and G2. A new report claims that the manufacturer will launch its newest flagship with different name. According to the Twitter leak star @evleaks, the HTC M7 will simply be named “HTC One” when it goes official this month at company’s dedicated even, prior to MWC expo 2013.

HTC M7 Could Be Named as “HTC One”

Of course, HTC’s chairman Peter Chou has chanted “M7, M7, M7’, when he showcased the company’s upcoming Android flagship at a party. We are sure that maybe the name HTC One is nice and clean, but M7 is also a catchy one. We’ve to see HTC One will differentiate from other phones such as HTC One X, One X+, One S, One SV. It seems the Taiwanese manufacturer is planning to stick with a brand name for their flagship every year.

HTC M7 aka HTC One will come with 4.5-inch 1080×1920 resolution display, latest Sense UI 5.0 on top of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. A new rumor is suggesting that that it will feature ‘Ultrapixel’ sensor with three layers of pixels stacked on top of each other, while each layer will have 4.3 million pixels. HTC has also confirmed that they are looking to implement new sound and camera experience (here is the infographic) for its handsets this year.

So, what do you think? Should HTC stick to the rumored “M7” branding or opt for other name?
