iOS 6.1.1 Update for iPhone 4S

Following the release of iOS 6.1.1 beta 1 in last week (which has Maps improvements for Japan), Apple has now begun seeding out the final stable version of the iOS 6.1.1 firmware update. The update is now rolling out for the iPhone 4S handset only, not any other iOS device. If you are wondering, the latest iOS build won’t attempt to kill the latest jailbreak operation, and it doesn’t effect the exploits evasi0n uses. Apple users have been reporting about several bugs, after installing the iOS 6.1 update, which was released earlier this year (just a couple of weeks ago) for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices.

According to the official changelog provided by Apple, the iOS 6.1.1 update fixes an issue “that could impact cellular performance and reliability for iPhone 4S.” The update also addresses the reliability issues with iPhone 4S handset.

In late last week, we’ve seen Vodafone UK warning its iPhone 4S users, not to update to iOS 6.1, instead wait for the iOS 6.1.1, which fixes 3G performance issues. AOL corporate has also disabled the ability to manage mobile meetings on iOS 6.1 running devices.

iOS 6.1.1 is a 23MB update carrying the new build number 10B145 and is now available over-the-air via the Settings application. You can download full iOS 6.1.1 update for iPhone 4S by hitting the below link.
