HTC One Coming with $199 contract pricing; Packs Metal Chassis, Stereo Speakers

You might already know what does HTC have in store for us to introduce at its February 19th London/NYC event? The HTC One. The Taiwanese manufacturer keeps continuing its teasers (with videos and photos) to build up the excitement for that event. The company has published the above picture, which is a piece of metal with HTC logo stamped on it and HTC has also tweeted that “75% of the elements on the periodic table are metals.” A new HTC M7 teaser video (embedded at below) has showed us a metal glare of the handset. So, it is now clear that it will indeed pack metal chassis and ship in white/siver and black colored editions with front-facing stereo speakers.

A reliable source already seems to speculate on pricing of the Taiwanese’s upcoming Android flagship. According to the source, the HTC One will be made available to purchase on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint, priced at $199.99 for 16GB 32GB version, while the 32GB 64GB variant will retail for $299.99 with your signature on a two-year contract agreement with the carrier.

We’ve another proof that the next Android flagship will be called HTC One, not M7. Recently, at Champions League soccer match between Celtic of Scotland and Juventus of Italy, one of the electronic signs that cycle through ads, flashed-over to display “HTC One” at a specific time. Of course, we’ve already came across a UAprof listing, which confirmed the name of the handset as HTC One.

HTC One is rumored to sport a new camera technology called “Ultrapixel” sensor, which combines  three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers to give a resulting single image, which is crisper, cleaner with better colour accuracy. Wow, it could be fantastic. Coming to other specs part, the device will have a smaller 4.7-inch FHD display with 1080p resolution, quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB eMMC, 2,300mAh battery and more.
