LG Optimus G Pro will be available in Korea on February 20

Last week, at the time of official announcement of LG Optimus G Pro, LG confirmed that it will be available in Korea in late February. Today, from an official press release, we have come to know that the smartphone will be available in Korea this week. This is the first smartphone which features the Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor.

The smartphone has a 1920×1080 pixels display at 400ppi. It includes a 3,140mAh battery, an improved 13MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 Host, Wi-Fi / Wi-Fi Direct and NFC. The Optimus G Pro has an advanced UX features, such as Dual Recording and Virtual Reality (VR) Panorama. Dual Recording allows users to capture video with both the front and rear cameras simultaneously for a unique picture-in-picture experience, and VR Panorama allows shots of entire horizontal and vertical environment.

The device is packed with a 1.7GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor, a 2GB of RAM, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean mobile OS, a microSD card slot to expand the storage. Creative and innovative UX features like QSlide, Live Zooming and QuickMemo will also be accessible to the Optimus G Pro users.

It will be carried by different South Korean carriers like SK Telecom, KT and LG U+. The device will be available for 968,000 won ($897) on Wednesday, February 20.

The LG Optimus G Pro is expected to be available in North America and Japan in the second quarter of this year. The device is expected to be showcased at Mobile World Congress 2013 event in Barcelona.
