Intel takes on ARM in Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 Introductory Video

Last month at CES 2013, Lenovo announced its latest Android flagship device, the IdeaPhone K900 which is packed with a 5.5-inch IPS screen and is powered by Intel’s Clover Trail+ processor. Today, an introductory video of the smartphone has surfaced online.

The YouTube video titled “They told you it was not possible” is the first introductory video from Intel and Lenovo showing of the Clover trail x86 architecture in a mobile device. It is 1 minute and 19 seconds long which takes on ARM, points out that they were wrong when they told that Intel can never dominate in such smaller devices. The video simply shows of the Gaming Graphics performance and its 1080p display.

The smartphone is packed with Intel’s latest 32nm dual-core Z2580 processor clocked at 2GHz running Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system. The 16GB internal storage of the device can be expanded up to 64 GB via microSd card. The device has 2GB of RAM, a 13 MP main camera with dual flash using the Sony Exmor BSI sensor with F1.8 lens, a 2MP 88 degree wide angle camera and more.

It is expected that the device will be available in China from April following in select regional markets soon thereafter. The Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 smartphone is expected to be showed off at the upcoming Mobile World congress event in Barcelona. Besides the introduction of Android powered smartphones, the Chinese mobile manufacturer is already planning to introduce Windows phone 8 smartphones later this year.
