Nokia announces Lumia 520 and 720 WP8 devices at MWC 2013

Today, at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Nokia has officially announced the Nokia Lumia 520 and 720 smartphones. The two smartphones are powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system. The Lumia 520 will be available in five color variants: cyan, yellow, red, black and white.

Both the Nokia Lumia 520 and Nokia Lumia 720 are packed with a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 512MB RAM, 800 x 480 ClearBlack display and both will be available in five color options: cyan, black, yellow, red and glossy white.

The Lumia 720 has a 2,000mAh battery, NFC, and it supports wireless charging capability. While  Lumia 520 has a 1,430mAh battery but no wireless charging.

Both the devices feature Nokia services like the full suite of Here Maps, Nokia Music and several lenses such as Cinemagraph and panorama. The Nokia Lumia 720 and 520 are expected to be available first in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore in Q1 2013. Later in Q2, the devices will be rolled out in Europe, Asia including China and India. The Lumia 720 will be available for €249 ($330 USD) and the Lumia 520 will be priced at €2139 ($180).
