[Download] AT&T HTC One X gets Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update

Last year, AT&T announced the HTC One X smartphone officially but at that time, the US carrier introduced the device with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system out of the box. Today, AT&T has started rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the device.

The smartphone is packed with a 1.5GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood, sporting a 4.7-inch second generation Super LCD HD display with 1280X720p resolution, equipped with an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, 1080p HD video recording capability, an additional front-facing camera, 32GB internal storage, 1GB RAM to keep things running smoothly, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA functionality, and 1800mAh battery to run the device.

The update is 630MB in size and it brings a number of enhancements like HTC Sense 4+, Google Now, Event/Map photo gallery options, better power management, and improvements in the camera.

In addition to the above features, the update also comes with the following bloatware from AT&T:

1. AT&T Locker allows to store your documents, files, videos, photos and more securely in the cloud.
2. AT&T Drive mode enables to reply emails, messages and wireless callers automatically letting your friends know that you are driving and unable to respond.
3. AT&T messages can display all your calls, messages and texts together in a single box so that it
will be easier to access from your devices.

You can note that Rogers Canada and O2 UK already rolled out the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for their respective One X. Last week we came to know that the newest version of HTC’s Sense 5 Custom User interface will be rolled out to HTC’s selective devices including the HTC One X and One S very soon.

In order to download the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, go to Applications> Settings> About Phone> Check for updates and follow the instructions on the screen.
