Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon coming in Multiple Colors

We’ve been hearing rumors about the Finnish mobile maker’s first flagship for Verizon Wireless for sometime now. A a couple of days ago, we heard that the Nokia Lumia 928 handset (that’s codenamed “Laser”) will hit Verizon in April. The device is said to be packed in aluminum construction, by ditching the polycarbonate body that we’ve seen on all of the Lumia models such as NL 920. The manufacturer has been using polycarbonate construction for its entire Lumia line since the arrival of the Lumia 800, which debuted as the first Windows Phone by Nokia.

A new leaked screenshot from of Verizon’s inventory system suggested that Nokia will release the still-rumored Lumia 928 in multiple colors – Blue, Black, Cyan and White. The source also says that the Lumia 928 smartphone will be released by Verizon around the same time as the Samsung Galaxy S IV, which will be unveiled today at Samsung’s Unpacked event. Verizon is currently selling the mid-range spec’d Lumia 822 windows phone that launched last year.

The rumored technical specifications say that a 4.5-inch OLED display, 8-megapixel camera with a Xenon flash, 1.5GHz processor, a full gigabyte of RAM. That means the CPU and RAM departments will be unchanged from the Lumia 920. The device is also said to sport a squarish shape (similar to the recently launched Lumia 720), packing a slightly curved design on back side, and it will be expected to be thinner (10.2mm) than the Lumia 920 handset.
