The latest Android flagship from Samsung, Galaxy S4 has been officially confirmed to hit the United States through AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular networks. Sammy has yet to provide exact ship dates for the U.S. edition of the Galaxy S4 handset. It looks like the manufacturer has spilled some important information regarding the price info of the unlocked U.S. edition of the Galaxy S4 on its “terms and conditions” of a Samsung’s ongoing giveaway webpage.
Samsung is giving away 48 Galaxy S4 handsets and each of these handsets has been listed with an “approximate retail value” of $579. That means Samsung will offer the 16GB Galaxy S4 at a reasonable price, which is cheaper than 16GB Apple iPhone 5’s SIM-free price tag value of $649.
Samsung Galaxy S4 is set for grand launch in 155 countries on 327 networks, and device will be available to purchase by the end of April. We also heard that Galaxy S4 will start hitting European countries on April 26th. Specs wise, Galaxy S4 is slimmer at 7.9mm and lighter at just 130g, sporting a 5-inch 1080p display (first ever for any Samsung handset), 1.6GHz Exynos 8-core processor, 13MP shooter, 2GB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 64GB, and it comes with a large 2600mAh battery, which is removable. The U.S. edition of the Galaxy S4 will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor under the hood.
We suggest you not to take this information for granted as Samsung hasn’t come up with official pricing of the Galaxy S4 handset yet for the U.S. and global editions. For more on Galaxy S4, check out the following links.
