The components of the next-gen iPhone are said to be available at the end of May, pointing that the new smartphone will be assembled and will be available in the market in the third quarter of this year.
It is reported that the upcoming iPhone will only be upgraded slightly. We also reported that the basic design of the next-gen iPhone will likely be equal to the existing iPhone 5 model but the iPhone 5S will be powered by more advanced chipset with an improved megapixel camera.
It is also rumored that Apple may introduce an iPhone model using plastic chassis in order to keep up the competition with rivals in this market. Component makers are expected to increase Apple’s orders to 30% sequential growth in the second quarter of this year. Foxconn Electronics chairman Terry Guo already mentioned that the company’s performance would pick up after April or May. It is expected that if the components of the iPhone have been shipped successfully, Apple will be able to deliver the devices within 1-2 weeks to retail channels for third quarter launch.
In addition to the introduction of the Apple iPhone 5S, fifth generation iPad and second generation iPad mini tablets are expected\ sometime in April.
