Xpeira Z Gets Update 10.1.A.1.434 to fix Sudden Death Issue

Yesterday, we reported about Sony’s promise to fix the sudden death issues on the Sony Xperia Z handsets globally. As they promised earlier, the company has begun rolling out the first software update for the Sony Xperia Z handset. The Android OS version remains at v4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and Kernel version also remains at v3.4.0. Build number will get a bump to 10.1.A.1.434.

Right now we are seeing unlocked version of the Xperia Z (which carries the model number C6603) is the first to have the update pushed out through Sony’s own PC companion app, as well as over-the-air (OTA).

The new firmware update obviously includes fix for Sudden Death issue causing many Xperia Z handsets, though users aren’t reporting about the inclusion of any extra functionality. You might not notice any other immediate changes in your devices. Hit the source link to grab the update file that can be flashed on your handset. Or else try hitting Software Update button to check for the update manually or use the PC companion app by connecting your device to a PC machine.  You should be able to update right now.
