If you are looking to grab the most popular Apple iPhone 5 from one of the major wireless carriers in the US, you may want to hold off for some days, because in next month you can buy it from T-Mobile. After years of long waiting, T-Mobile has finally joined the club and officially announced that it will carry the Apple products over its network. Users can pick up the T-Mobile branded iPhone 5 in retail stores and online starting April 12th and it will be compatible with the carrier’s new and developing 4G LTE network. It’s good to hear that iPhone will soon available on all four big U.S. carriers.
T-Mobile will offer the 16GB edition of the iPhone 5 with a a down payment price of $99.99 along with 24 monthly payments of $20 each. Or else you can pay the full retail price of the device right away. Apple has also announced its plans on carrying the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 over its network. Users can pick up the iPhone 4S for $69.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $20 each, or the iPhone 4 for $14.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $15 each.
The carrier has noted that iPhone 5 will include T-Mobile’s 42Mbps HSPA+ network (on the 1700MHz AWS band) for those moments when LTE is not available in your area. iPhone 5 will also have HD Voice capability for enhanced call quality. Other user on a call must also have an HD Voice-capable phone to actually take advantage of this service. It’s worth noting that iPhone 5 will be available nationwide, while iPhoen 4S and iPhone 4 will be made available in select areas only. Pre-orders for the T-Mobile iPhone 5 will be offered from April 5. T-Mobile iPhone 5’s model number will be referred as A1428 (AT&T’s variant has also got the similar model number).
Magenta carrier’s 4G LTE network is officially going live today in seven markets. The fist batch of cities are Phoenix, Ariz., San Jose, Calif., Baltimore, Md., Houston, Texas, Kansas City, Mo., Las Vegas, Nev., and Washington, D.C.
iPhone 5 is made entirely of glass and aluminum, featuring a 4-inch Retina display (1136-by-640 resolution at 326 pixels per inch), A6 dual-core processor, an 8MP rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video capture, 720p HD front-facing camera for FaceTime, and it will ship with iOS 6.x OS. iPhone 5 is now being tagged as world’s thinnest smartphone at just 7.6mm.
On the other side, some latest rumors have that Apple is planning to unveil the rumored iPhone 5S and iPad 5 devices on June 29th. Of course, some rumors have also hinted at April release.
