HTC One X Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update with Sense 5 coming in June

Last month, HTC introduced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X which was originally powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at the time of official announcement. Despite the fact that the device is running the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version as of now, it will get the flavor of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in June or July. The exciting information was tweeted by a reliable source.

Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will bring some remarkable features such as Google Now function, new lock screen widgets, Quick Settings menu, a new keyboard that supports gesture typing, Photo Sphere camera features which allows users to take panoramic pictures, and more.

The smartphone is packed with a 1.5GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood, sporting a 4.7-inch second generation Super LCD HD display with 1280X720p resolution, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA functionality, and more.

In addition to the above specs, the HTC One X is presently packed with HTC Sense 4.0 UI on top of it. Luckily, HTC One X users will also be getting new customized interface, Sense 5 at the time of updating to the Android 4.2.2 version. The Sense 5 skin is much simpler than previous versions. It includes a number of features like Blinkfeed, Flipboard-style widget for stories, photos and social updates.
