If you own a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, you will be pleased to know that you device will get progress from Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich to the latest version of the Android operating system. The Korean manufacturer is finally rolling out the most awaited Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8160) handset, The handset’s build number gets bumped up to JZO54K and you will get the new software version I8160XXMC8 as well. Back in early February, the Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Ace 2 has already been leaked online.

The Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Ace is currently being distributed through Kies tool and over-the-air (OTA) process. You should start to see prompts to update your device over the next few weeks. Please note that the update is rolling out in the phases now on a per-country basis. So, do not get panic if you haven’t get any notification on your device yet. However, you can attempt to trigger the Jelly Bean update by hitting up Settings > Software update > and hit Check Now button to check if the fresh build is available for your handset.
