AT&T’s HTC One Available on April 19th for $199; Pre-Orders Open April 4th

Here it is folks. Finally, AT&T has officially announced that its version of the 4G LTE capable HTC One handset will be available in stores and online from April 19th. The carrier has also confirmed users will be able to pre-order their device from this Thursday, April 4th at 1pm CDT. Earlier today, a leak suggested April 5th as the date for AT&T to open pre-order gates for the device. Rogers will also begin selling the HTC One phone on April 19th along with its main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S4.

The device will be available on two-year contract plans with 32GB of storage for $199.99, and the AT&T-exclusive 64GB edition will set you back $299.99. AT&T also mentioned it’ll be "the only U.S. wireless carrier at launch" to offer 64GB version of the handset. On-contract buyers will also get a free Media Link HD wireless HDMI adaptor. This free kit allows you to share your content from your phone to your HD television wirelessly.

HTC One will ship with a 4.7-inch 1080p Full HD screen, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core chipset, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, HTC Sense 5 UI innovations, and a set of pre-installed application including HTC Zoe, HTC BlinkFeed, HTC BoomSound, HTC SenseTV,and more. The device will have a 4MP Ultrapixel camera, which has got 300 percent more light than traditional smartphone camera sensors.

We’ve also reported that Sprint-flavored HTC One will go on sale for $199.99 (32GB) and RadioShack is offering a free $50 Google Play credit deal for the buyers. So, HTC One is hitting the U.S. stores two weeks ahead of the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 handset, which is expected to hit U.S. carriers in early May. T-Mo is planning to sell Galaxy S4 from May 1st.
