Back in late February at MWC 2013 event, Sammy has officially unveiled the new Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet, which could be labelled as a Apple iPad mini competitor. Late last week, the Korean company has begun selling their latest Android tablet at Samsung’s Experience Store in the UK’s Westfield Stratford City. Now, we’ve good news for U.S. citizens. Samsung U.S. has officially confirmed Galaxy Note 8.0 will official up for grabs in the United States from April 11th for $399.99. FYI, the basic edition of the iPad mini Wi-Fi costs $330.
Accessories for the Note 8.0 will be made available from mid-April. You will be able to grab the Book Covers in white, grey, pink or green, USB and HDMI adapters, travel charger. Samsung is also offering some pre-loaded content for the Note tablet. You can take subscribe for 50GB of Dropbox service for 24 months for $200, 1 month of unlimited Music Hub streaming, Samsung’s Smart Remote, Awesome Note, and more for free. Samsung is also throwing in $25 Google Play voucher for a limited time when you register the tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 comes with a 8-inch LCD screen with 1280×800 pixels of resolution, 1.6GHz Exynos quad-core processor, 2 gigabytes of RAM, 5 megapixel camera on back side, microSD card slot to accept up to 64GB, WatchOn service, and it ships with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on board. Of course, it also also have all the Note-specific features including Multi-Window, Air View, AllShare Play, S Pen, S Planner, Awesome Note, and more.
From April 11th, interested buyers can grab the Note 8.0 tablet through Best Buy, NewEgg, Tiger Direct, and several other retailers.
