It looks like LG Optimus G Pro handset’s U.S. launch is slated to happen early next month. The Korean company has already sold more than 500k units of Optimus G Pro units in its home country, Korea in just 40 days. AT&T is keeping quiet on an official release date for the time being, but that isn’t stopping the anonymous sources sharing the launching details of the device in United States. According to Android Central’s anonymous source, AT&T USA is planning to offer the LG Optimus G Pro handset in May. The source has also noted users are expected to grab the AT&T locked Optimus G Pro from May 10th.

Back in late March, FCC labs have approved the LG Optimus G Pro E980 handset, which supports LTE bands compatible with AT&T network for AT&T’s LTE bands.

Just like the Korean variant, the AT&T variant of the LG Optimus G Pro handset will also feature the same 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD screen which works out to a pixel density of 401ppi (Japanese version has got 5-inch screen size). It has got a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM on board. Its 13 megapixel camera offers “2.5D” effect and high-quality photos that can be taken even with a moving subject. There will be a powerful 3,100mAh battery on back side with wireless charging capability.
