Motorola will start rolling out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Motorola Droid Bionic starting from April 15. But the Jelly Bean flavor will be rolled out only to those customers who are currently in Verizon Wireless Network in the US. The data size of the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is around 98.72MB.

The smartphone having a 4.3-inch qHD display with 960×540 pixels of resolution has 1GB of RAM, 1GHz dual-core processor with 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, front facing webcam for video chat,16GB of internal memory, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n, a GPS, Webkit 5 HTML, Flash 10, 3.5mm headset jack and a Li-Ion 1735mAH battery to power the smartphone.

Although the manufacturer hasn’t officially rolled out the update as of now, it can be noted that after updating to Jelly Bean 4.1.2, Google Now, Project Butter, resizable widgets, richer notifications, improvements to the camera and gallery applications, and many more enhancements will be available on your smartphone.

Other features like Smart keyboard which can give a more accurate dictionary allowing the keyboard to presume the next word before typing and Voice Search allows speech recognition supporting natural language controls and speech to text.

The update will be available via OTA. It will take around 10-15 minutes to download and only 5-10 minutes for installing the update successfully.

  1. After downloading my Motorolla CSD-8111 docking station no longer workd. Docking mode of Desk Mode isays “Unfortunately, Desk Mode has stopped” This really stinks.
