Verizon’s Galaxy Camera Update VRAMC4

Sammy has sent out a new firmware update to the Verizon branded Samsung Galaxy Camera. The build number bumps up to JZO54K.GC120VRAMC4 from JZO54K.GC120VRALL2 after the update. The updates seems to be important as it is weighing 180MB of size. Though we can tell you that the Samsung Galaxy Camera’s new update rollout has begun, but there are no changelog/firmware changes to be found yet.

The Android OS version remains at v4.1.2 Jelly Bean build after the latest update. Droid-Life reports that the update is bringing “Upgrading Camera Software” for the device, but the source couldn’t changes any specific changes on the camera side after the update is pushed. Some users are reporting that they can’t turn it into a hotspot and tether wirelessly. Considering there’s no official word from Samsung/Verizon Wireless, we will have to wait to hear from Galaxy Camera owners. Let’s hope that Samsung rolls out Galaxy S4’s camera capability for this device.
