Samsung Galaxy S4 U.S. Availability Announced (April 24 for T-Mo and April 27 for Sprint)

Finally, Samsung has officially announced the U.S. availability of the Galaxy S4 handset, which will make its way to stores via 14 retailers. A total of 7 carriers will be joining to offer the Galaxy S4 in United States by the end of April. The list includes – Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, C Spire, U.S. Cellular, and Cricket Wireless.

Best Buy (and Best Buy Mobile too), Costco, Wal-Mart., Sam’s Club, Staples, Radio Shack, and Target will also begin selling the device at their retail outlets and online by the end of this month. Users can reserve their units over at Sprint and T-Mobile websites from today.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile has confirmed its version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available to purchase online from April 24th and it will show up in stores from May 1st. T-Mo’s Galaxy S4 costs $149.99 up front with 24 monthly payments of $20, which will be covered under the carrier’s Simple Choice plan. Sprint also confirmed it will offer its version of the Galaxy S4 from April 27th for $249.99 with a two-year contract. Users, who wish to switch their old number to Sprint network, will get an additional $100 instant credit. That means, you can get it for just $149.99. Unlike other U.S, based carrier versions, Sprint’s version hasn’t got any carrier branding on any side of the phone.

Verizon has yet to confirm pricing and availability info about its version of the Galaxy S4. It’s worth noting that the device already popped up on Samsung’s website. C Spire will be also offering its version and they have announced it will be coming this summer. The carrier hasn’t provided any information on release date and price tag. However, interested buyers can sign up over at C Spire website to be notified to get more details about the handset’s availability and pricing.

U.S. based Galaxy S4 units will be powered by Snapdragon 600-powered quad-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz, carrying a 5-inch Full HD display, 2GB RAM< 13megapixel camera, and it’ll be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
