AT&T’s LG Optimus G Pro

LG is gearing up for unveiling the Galaxy Note II’s competitor, the Optimus G Pro for the U.S. carriers at a big New York City event, scheduled for next Wednesday, May 1st. LG Optimus G Pro is the successor to the yesteryear’s Optimus G handset, which was offered by AT&T and Sprint carriers in the United States. So, AT&T will be obviously one of the U.S. based operator that will offer the new LG Optimus G Pro handset over its network and it will have LTE.

The latest leak sheds some light on the upcoming Optimus G Pro smartphone. @Evelaks has leaked a new press shot of the Optimus G Pro all with AT&T branding. According to a previous rumor, AT&T may launch this device on May 10th. You might already know that Optimus G Pro is very similar to Note II in many ways. According to Engadget, the U.S. version of the G Pro will carry the following features:

# 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with 1080x1920p resolution (original G Pro has True HD-IPS+, and Note II has 720p display)
# Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz
# 2GB RAM
#13 megapixel rear-facing camera, 2.1 megapixel front-facing shooter
# 32GB oboard storage with microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 64GB
# Support for AT&T’s LTE (700/1700 MHz), HSPA+21 (850/1900/2100 MHz) and quadband GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) bands
# Ships with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box

The device will also come preinstalled AT&T DriveMode and Navigator apps, and a set of LG’s own apps including QSlide 2.0 (a multiwindow feature), Dual Recording, Tag+ for NFC, VuTalk, QuickMemo, Notebook and the ability to preset the Home Key’s LED.

Looks like this year is going to be a huge year for LG.
