Samsung Galaxy S4 debuts in India at 41,500 INR, available from tomorrow

Samsung has officially launched the much-anticipated high-end smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S4 in India. The smartphone will be available starting tomorrow from Samsung India Online Store. It will be available for sale from Reliance Digital stores across the country also.

The smartphone with mind-blowing specs was unveiled on March 14. It comes with a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920) Super AMOLED display (441 ppi) with 2GB of RAM running Android 4.2.2 OS. Connectivity features of the high-end smartphone are 4G LTE, HSPA+, all standards of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC chip, IR blaster, and microUSB 2. It also features a 13 megapixel primary camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD video recording support. In addition to the rear-facing camera, it sports an impressive 2.0-megapixel camera on the front.

The Indian version of the Galaxy S4 is expected to feature Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa-core processor. The smartphone will be offered in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants. A microSD slot for expanding the storage up to 64GB is also included. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will be priced at ₹41,500 for the 16GB variant but the price of other variants are not known yet. White Frost and Black Mist are the color variants of the smartphone.

Yesterday, the smartphone was officially launched in S Korea. It is packed with Samsung’s own Exynos chipset with LTE capability. The high-end smartphone will be heading to KT, SK Telecom and LG U+ networks in the region.

In Canada, the Samsung Galaxy S4 release date is also set for tomorrow and it will be priced at $199 CAD with a three year contract agreement with Bell, Telus, Virgin, or Rogers Wireless.
