It looks like Motorola XOOM isn’t the only Android tablet in the Verizon’s blazing high-speed connected lineup, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G equipped with 4G LTE support is also going to launch for Verizon Wireless this year. At the Consumer Electronics Show 2011, Samsung has announced that that they will be ‘upgrading’ their first Android tablet with 4G LTE-enabled version with Single- core Cortex A8 Hummingbird 1.2 GHz processor(previously, it was 1GHz only) and its rear camera to 5 Megapixels(instead of 3MP).

Unlike Motorola XOOM, it will not upgrading with Android’s latest version Honeycomb, but coming with out-dated Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. The 4G LTE-enabled Galaxy Tab features a 7-inch TFT touch display with 1024 x 600 WSVGA resolution and the device is also equipped with 1.3 Megapixels front-facing camera for video calling support along with a 5 Megapixels camera with LED flash.

Wi-Fi Only Samsung Galaxy Tab For Verizon

Samsung has also announced that a Wi-Fi-Only version of the Galaxy Tab will be available in the United States in early 2011. But the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi-only version hasn’t upgraded on both the processor and main camera parts – which are 1GHz processor, 3 Megapixels camera and having the all other same regular specifications on the board.

Price & Availability

Verizon han’t yet confirmed about the launching details and pricing information of Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G LTE. The Wi-Fi only version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available this quarter in USA and will be available without a contract as it is lacking 3G connectivity and pricing details confirmed for this too.
