Canon has announced its new PowerShot SD4500 IS Compact Digital Camera. It would be called as IXUS 1000 HS in Europe and IXY 50S in Japan. It retains a beautifully styled, compact metal body. The SD4500 IS is said to be the slimmest 10x optical zoom digital camera. SD4500 IS is the first Digital ELPH camera to support Full HD 1080p video recording. It is equipped with DIGIC4 image processor and features a great tool for shooting sports, the camera also features Full 1080p HD video mode, a first for a Digital ELPH model. In addition to its HD video functionality, this camera can also shoot in Dynamic IS mode.
Canon PowerShot SD4500 IS(aka IXUS HS & IXY 50S) is available in brown,pink and silver colors.
The new digital camera SD4500 IS sports a 10 Megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, 7.6 cm (3.0″) PureColor II G LCD(230,000 pixels), AF lamp assist and 10x optical zoom(36mm to 360mm) with Optical Image Stabilization, which is a huge step forward from 3.8x of its predecessor, SD4000 IS. The HS System provides stunning image quality in all light conditions. A 10.0 Megapixel high-sensitivity CMOS sensor allows fast continuous shooting and enables special high speed functions such as Handheld Night Scene and Super Slow Motion Movie.
Measuring 22mm at the thinnest side, the SD4500 IS offers a longer 10x zoom range starting at a rather over-long 36mm equivalent. SD4500 IS features Super Slow Motion Movie and high-speed shooting – Super Slow Motion Movie captures video at 240 frames per second slowing down fast-paced action like sports or wildlife, while High-speed Burst won’t miss a moment with up to 8.8 shots per second (2.5MP) non-stop photo shooting to card capacity. It comes with HDMI output, 8.4fps High-Speed Burst shooting, Face Detection, Blink Detection, Handheld Night Scene mode, Motion Detection, Fish-eye effect, Color swap, Best Image Selection (2.5MP), ISO up to 3200, Still image resolution up to 3648 x 2736 and 1920 x 1080 @ 24 fps HD.
