The world’s first webOS tablet that was announced a few weeks ago, the HP TouchPad at HP’s Think Beyond event. HP announced that the its first tablet would be available in the summer, but according to some speculations at DigiTiimes, HP TouchPad tablet however will start selling in April. The units will start shipping from late March. So consumers are just a couple of months away before they get their hands on the device.

HP TouchPad can be able to easily synchronize with phones like the HP Pre 3 and the HP Veer. The first out of the release will be a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi only version, with 3G and 4G variants to follow suit in due time. According to rumors, TouchPad might come with a price tag of $699, which undercuts Motorola’s Xoom by $100.
