Windows fanatics now have a reason to freak out as they got a new Great interface, loads of features and a joy to use. The software giant, Microsoft has released the final version of Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 to the general public. The build no. is 7601.17514.101119-1850. Windows 7 SP1 is now available for download via the Microsoft Download Center.

Microsoft has already released the final release of Windows 7 SP1 to OEM partners earlier on February 9, followed by MSDN customers, volume licensing customers, and Technet subscribers on February 16. It will mostly just contain bug fixes. will mostly just contain bug fixes. It also features client-side support for RemoteFX and Dynamic Memory, which are two new virtualization features enabled in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

According to Microsoft, RemoteFX allows for the virtualization of the Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) on the server side to give the next-generation rich media and 3D user experiences for VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructures). Dynamic Memory allows Windows Server Hyper-V administrators to step up virtual machine density without loosing performance, security or scalability.

In order to install the Service Pack 1 of Windows 7, the PC must be running RTM version of Windows 7.
