FaceTime app for Mac – Non beta version arrives in Mac App Store for $0.99

FaceTime App For Mac

Apple has released the first full-version FaceTime app for the Mac App store. The app comes as an update to the Beta version for Mac computers released last October and it is now available for download. FaceTime is Apple’s branded video calling service that allows Mac, iPhone, fourth-gen iPod Touches. FaceTime will also support 720p HD video calls with the help of HD webcams built into the new MacBook Pro computers.

Users have to pay $0.99, unless you’re purchasing a new MacBook Pro. The service is free to use and the associated app is free on Apple’s iOS-powered devices.

FaceTime is definitely impressive. Now any Mac user can finally do video chat with other Mac or iOS users. You just click on a contact and it instantly makes a FaceTime call. Once you’re on the phone with them, a simple video window shows them in either landscape or portrait mode.
