This must be an awesome news for HTC Desire family owners. A well sourced information from an HTC spokesperson to Slashgear, is claiming that the HTC Desire family handsets – HTC Desire, HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z will be upgrading from Android 2.2 Froyo to Google’s latest and fastest Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS in Q2 of this year (by the end of June). Recently launched HTC Incredible S at MWC 2011, also getting the Gingerbread at the same along with the Desire handsets. HTC and Google made Nexus One handset is getting treated by the Gingerbread update at present.
Here is what the company stated – “We are excited to announce that the Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire and Incredible S will receive the Gingerbread update in Q2.” If this statement turns to be true, the Gingerbread push from HTC to the old and new handsets must be worthy appreciating.
