The Samsung Galaxy S is still treating with Android 2.2 Froyo everywhere and many users are still to get Froyo on their Galaxy S handsets. We’ve reported you that Samsung Galaxy S is expected to be upgrading to Android 2.3 Gingerbread in March.
The Android 2.3 Gingerbread software build for the Samsung Galaxy S i9000 complete with TouchWiz 4 UI has leaked and appeared online via SamFirmWare, a forum about rumors and news about Samsung products. Please be noted that it is the 2.3.2 version of Android and not version 2.3.3 that treated to Nexus S and Nexus one recently. The leaked Gingerbread update for Galaxy S doesn’t let the handset to get into Android Market. It only works if you root your device. And Swype is not included in this beta version. The leaked source code is still in a beta phase. So we can say that Samsung is working on Gingerbread for it’s Galaxy S line.
Please bear in mind that Please also note this is intended for the i9000 (the untampered European version), better known as the international version of the Galaxy S, so Galaxy S owners in the U.S. have to wait more. Give some time to let the American troll begin.
