The Wi-Fi only edition of the HP TouchPad tablet went on sale just a few days ago, and we just came to know that the 4G edition of this tablet is heading to the U.S. AT&T and have officially announced that they will be launching the 4G edition of the HP TouchPad in the near future. But, the bigger news may be that the AT&T branded HP TouchPad 4G comes with a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor (a bump from the Wi-Fi only version’s 1.2GHz), and of course, there is the HSPA+ connectivity with maximum of 21Mbps download speed, as well as 32GB of storage.
HP TouchPad is the first tablet from the company, running the latest HP WebOS 3.0, featuring 9.7″ display of the IPS-LCD kind with 768×1024 pixels of resolution, and “EZ-clean” oleophobic coating, “true multitasking,” Touch-to-share, 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera with support for video calling, 16GB or 32GB of on-board memory (no memory card slot), 1GB DDR2 RAM, internal stereo speakers, Beats Audio technology, 6300mAh battery, integrated GPS, Amazon’s Kindle e-book store, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, A-GPS, HP Synergy, cloud syncing services.
HP TouchPad 4G is having HSPA+ 21Mbps connectivity only, but not the 4G LTE support. Early adopters of the 1.2GHz CPU equipped HP TouchPad Wi-Fi tablets would feel disappointed, because AT&T’s variant comes with a processor bump to 1.5GHz.
