T-Mobile has officially launched the Nokia Astound smartphone at CTIA event 2011. It is basically a rebranded version of the Nokia C7, which was introduced back in October 2010.
T-Mobile’s Nokia Astound uses the Symbian^3 platform on a 680MHz processor, sporting a 3.5-inch AMOLED touch screen, equipped with a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture, and a front-facing camera for video calls, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, 8GB internal storage & microSD card up to 32GB expansion, Qik video services, Slacker Radio, pre-loaded OVI maps, OVI Store support, and T-Mobile offers Wi-Fi calling on this mobile, a whole host of Nokia and T-Mobile services and it has an embedded NFC chip.
