Last week, rumors circled online about the surprising Gingerbread update for Motorola Droid X handset scheduled to roll out on Sunday. But, unfortunately, it didn’t happen as the Verizon carrier rejected the Gingerbread build, revealed by a trusted source on Twitter. Droid X users may have to wait for another month for Android 2.3 Gingerbread update on their handsets. Note that there is no official word on GIngerbread update for Droid X handset from Motorola nor Verizon Wireless.
Here is the tweet by @pydepypper:
“Pass the word folks just got word the GB build for the X was rejected by VZW so it is back to Moto 4 fixes. Talking another month 4 release”
Android 2.3 Gingerbread update been out for 4 months and many handsets still stucks at Android 2.2 Froyo version. Google’s Nexus One and Nexus S are the only handsets treated to Gingerbread juice at present. Btw, look at the twitter name, does anyone know who the pydepypper is?
