The North American carrier, Alltel has started taking the pre-orders for HTC Merge, the world phone at $124.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a contract. HTC Merge handset is having both the CDMA and GSM networks connecting capabilities. We don’t have any confirmation when this handset will be released on Verizon carrier.
The QWERTY-slider, HTC Merge comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, skinned with HTC Sense UI customizations, 800MHz processor, full QWERTY keyboard, sporting a 3.8″ touch display, equipped with a 5MP camera with 720p HD video capture, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA functionality, micro-SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, powered by 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery, Android Market and a full host of Google and Alltel services.
