Earlier we heard that Samsung Galaxy S II handset is about to be delayed by at least one month to get the 1.2GHz processor upgrade. But Samsung has officially confirmed via its Twitter account that teh Galaxy S II handset will release in April as planned – "it will be gradually rolled out in each market according to the local launch timetable."
Samsung Galaxy S II measuring 8.5mm thickness, comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS flavoured with TouchWiz 4.0, powered by dual-core 1 GHz processor, 1GB RAM and it is sporting a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display and equipped with 8 Megapixels camera with LED flash. Galaxy S II can both record and play back 1080p full HD video. It is also having integrated NFC support (on some versions), super-fast HSPA+ connectivity, 3-axis gyroscopic sensor, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 1650mAh battery, 16GB/ 32GB storage options, Kies Air and four types of Hubs – Social Hub Premium, Readers Hub, Games Hub and Music Hub.
