Owners of the recently launched dual-core powered T-Mobile G2X must be dreaming about the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update on their handsets. Now they don’t need to wait for longer. T-Mobile has officially announced via its official Twitter account they will be rolling out the Gingerbread update for the G2X handsets. T-Mobile G2x is currently facing a couple of issues to do with screen bleeding and random reboots. We hope the Gingerbread update will address these problems.

T-Mobile G2X (aka LG Optimus 2X) packed with Android 2.2 Froyo and can be upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, boosted with 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor inside, sporting a 4-inch WVGA display, along with 8GB of internal storage, 21Mbps HSPA+ radio inside, equipped with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with 1080p video recording capabilities, complemented by a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, full 1080p HD playback via HDMI, Bluetooth, micro USB, DLNA, Android Market, and the whole host of G00gle & T-Mobile services.

T-Mobile G2X is now available to buy for $199.99 at T-Mobile stores and Cellhub is selling it for $99.99 only on a 2-year contract.
