The Motorola DROID 2 has quiet similar specs as the first version of Motorola Droid. The main difference with the DROID 2 is that the keyboard will be different, and it will run Android 2.2.

The handset itself has been designed to resemble R2-D2 and the box has been made to look like Carbonite (the material that Hans Solo was frozen in). Along with the phone, the purchaser will get a Star Wars media dock and a wired stereo headset.
Exclusive to Verizon customers, the app will allow the user to browse and view content related to Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. A separate Star Wars Mobile App with similar Star Wars content will be available for all Android 2.1 users.
Price & Availability
The DROID R2-D2 by Motorola will be available on online at www.verizonwireless.com and in selected Verizon Wireless Communication stores for $249 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. Premium Star Wars content can be accessed for a one-time charge of $2.99.
Customers will need to subscribe to a Nationwide Talk plan or a Nationwide Talk & Text plan (beginning at $39.99 monthly access) and an Email and Web for Smartphone plan (beginning at $29.99 for unlimited monthly access).
Update: Droid R2-D2 now available at Verizon Wireless Stores for $99.99 with a 2-year contract.
