Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi Hitting Sprint At $599.99 On May 8th

Motorola XOOM WiFi Only Edition

The tablet market is just a year old and it is dominated by a single device — the Apple iPad. Then the Motorola Xoom came into the scene rescuing the Android lovers, filled with Honeycomb juice which was the first version of Android to address the tablet market and made its first entry through Verizon Wireless and now is on the way to other carriers too. We already knew that it is coming to Sprint consumers in the U.S, but only pieces of leaked images, leaked docs emerged, but the evidence is not conclusive enough until now and no official announcement from Sprint yet.

Fueling all the previous leaks and rumors, now the folks over Spantechular have managed to get a new leaked document, which is revealing that the Wi-Fi edition of Motorola Xoom is set to release by Sprint on May 8th, with a $599.99 price tag attached to it. Samsung-made Google Nexus S 4G is also releasing on the same day.

Motorola Xoom runs with Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, powered by 1GHz dual-core CPU and packs 1GB RAM, sporting a 10.1-inch capacitive HD touch display with 16 million colors support and 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, 32GB of internal flash storage, as well as micro-SD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), equipped with the rear-facing 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash which is suitable for capturing digital photos and 720p HD videos and an additional 2 Megapixel front-facing camera, full host of Android Market and Google services, including 3D version of Google Maps, Google Talk with video chat, and other Sprint services.
