It was just few days back that the Samsung Nexus S 4G was released on Sprint and we already have a minor maintenance software update! The phone has already been delivered to customers running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread that supports voice and video chat on Google Talk. The latest minor maintenance OTA software update versioned GRJ22, will bring few performance improvements, security improvements, Google Voice international roaming and ability use the tags application between any two Nexus S phones.
Since this is an OTA (Over-the-air) update, installing the update will only take around 5 minutes of your time. If you are yet to receive the update notification on your Nexus S, you can check for updates manually from Menu –> Settings –> About phone –> System updates and then tap on “Update Firmware” or “Update Android” and the updates will be automatically downloaded to your phone if not done earlier. For complete instructions on installing maintenance update on your Sprint Nexus S 4G, head over to the Sprint support page.
