HTC Merge For Verizon Launching Today?

HTC Merge For Verizon

Alltel is already offering the Windows Phone 7 OS powered HTC Merge smartphone on its network since last month, now Verizon also launching this handset starting from today, May 12th. Nothing has been confirmed yet officially by Verizon. HTC Merge was supposed to be released in April by U.S. Cellular, but delayed unexpectedly.

Folksover Droid-Life have managed to get a document, which is revealing that the Verizon branded HTC Merge smartphone will be available to purchase at some 3rd party retailers only, but not be available through Verizon stores.

The HTC Merge has a 3.8-inch WVGA display, full QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera with flash, 800 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and runs Android 2.2 Froyo with HTC Sense. Inside you’ll find radios for 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, and CDMA with EVDO Rev A. It has micro-SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. It also has DLNA capability, Stereo FM radio with RDS, and a whole host of Android & Verizon services.
